The Basics: Collagen Induction Therapy, is an effective resurfacing procedure with the benefit of minimal downtime. Used on nearly every part of the face to improve lines and wrinkles with excellent results on vertical lines on the upper and lower lips and Superficial small scars.

How does CIT work to improve lip lines and superficial scars?

Collagen Induction Therapy uses a microneedle device with multiple tiny needles to create microscopic holes just under the surface of the skin. The process stimulates the skin’s ability to produce collagen and elastin, by inducing the inflammatory healing response. The healing process produces permanent structural changes in the skin which result in better skin texture and long lasting improvement. The physiologic effects of treatment last up to a year, however best results are achived with a minimum of three treatments.

Treatment Description:  Face is washed, a numbing agent applied, then skin is cleaned with an antiseptic. The SkinPen is a device used to stimulate collagen by activating the inflammatory cascade.  It does this with 14 microneedles which revolve over the skin, repeatedly puncturing hundreds of microholes into the skin.  This treatment requires 3 – 4 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart.

POST Treatment and for the 3 months of collagen induction therapy, it is recommended to use the Skin Fuse System to avoid inflammatory skin irritants and provide the correct ratio of nutrients and protection to the skin

Ask your provider in advance of CIT to obtain your 3 month supply of SkinFuse.
